The Epson Home Cinema 8350 is an updated version of its sibling, the Epson Home Cinema 8100, which was already a very good projector. You can now expect a better performance for its new sibling. It projects brilliant image (bright at its brightest mode, more contrast, good color) even with a considerable amount of ambient light. It doesn’t matter whether you want to put it in your dark TV room or in your living room with some ambient light, it still gives great quality picture. Epson Home Cinema 8350 will certainly gives you a complete satisfaction on home theater.

Buying a more expensive projector means having all the great features. Well, this is not always true, proved by the Epson 8350. Although it falls under the category of “less expensive” projectors, it has useful features of an expensive projector, most notably vertical and horizontal lens shift. Having this feature means you don’t have to move the projector to adjust the screen, giving you an excellent placement flexibility. Placing it will not be a problem, you can place it on the coffee table or at the bookshelf at the back of the room.

Moving on to more of its features and highlights, the Epson 8350 has a very good black level performance. Even though it lacks the dark blacks of more expensive projector, it is still the best pick for its price. It also comes with a low noise fans, which means it has a quite operation and you can now focus more on the soundtrack while watching a movie or a video without having to cringe your ears with any annoying sounds.

While Epson Home Cinema 8350 has a lot of pros, it also comes with some cons, only if you compare it with more expensive projectors. Besides the lack of dark blacks mentioned earlier, it also lacks of CFI (motion smoothing feature), which is a nice feature. It also lacks the 3D support offered by many current DLP projectors. Well, this is not a major problem because not all people include 3D as an entertainment requirement. Some people only demand excellent quality picture. If you are one of them,  I can suggest you to simply go for the Epson 8350, which already earn a lot of Editor’s Choice awards.
